Ways to escape
Every trip is built from scratch around your people, your budget, and your idea of relaxing.
Ocean, river, or luxury lines — matched to your vibe, with honest cabin advice included. Sail from Florida ports or fly away anywhere.
Plan a cruise →Adults-only hideaways or family-friendly resorts where the answer to “wait, how much is that?” is always “already covered.”
Plan a resort escape →Girls’ trips, milestone birthdays, family reunions, destination weddings — I wrangle the rooms, the payments, and the group-chat chaos.
Plan a group trip →Yes, you can take that trip alone. Safe, social-when-you-want-it itineraries with a planner on call the whole time.
Plan a solo escape →The advisor advantage
You could spend three weekends and fourteen browser tabs cross-referencing reviews… or you could tell me the dream and let me do what I do every day.
You pay the cruise line or resort directly, just like booking on your own. My planning is paid by the travel partners, not by you.
Fora’s industry partnerships can unlock upgrades, resort credits, breakfasts, and early check-in — perks vary by property and availability.
Flight drama? Storm watch? Resort mix-up? You text me — not a 1‑800 hold queue — and I work it while you keep vacationing.
Instead of 400 search results, you get a short list of hand-picked options with real prices and honest pros and cons.
Easy as a beach day
Fill out the two-minute trip form, or just call or text. Vibes welcome — “beach, quiet, February” is plenty to start.
You get hand-picked options that fit your budget, with perks baked in and the fine print already read (by me).
Confirmations, check-in reminders, and backup plans — handled while you’re officially off duty.
Your travel advisor
I’m Cheryl McKenna, a Florida-based independent travel agent with Fora Travel and the founder of Adulting Intermission Travel. I started this business because I watched too many capable, exhausted grown-ups talk themselves out of the break they had already earned.
Deadlines, carpools, group chats that never sleep — adulting doesn’t pause on its own. So I build the pause for you: cruises, all-inclusive escapes, group celebrations, and solo adventures planned down to the details you shouldn’t have to think about. And because I book through Fora’s partnerships, you get insider perks and a real human watching your trip the whole way — at no extra planning cost.
Happy humans
“Cheryl planned our anniversary all-inclusive down to the dinner reservations. We literally just packed.”
“First cruise ever, zero stress. She even fixed a flight hiccup while we were at dinner.”
“Our girls’ trip had nine opinions and one group chat. Cheryl handled all of it and we just showed up.”
Ready when you are
Tell me a little about the trip in your head — even if it’s just “beach, quiet, February.” I’ll take it from there and reply within one business day.
Good questions
In most cases, no. I’m paid a commission by the travel suppliers (cruise lines, resorts, tour companies), so you pay the same price as booking direct — often with extra perks on top. If a custom itinerary ever involves a planning fee, we’ll talk about it upfront, before any work starts.
Fora is a modern travel agency network of independent advisors, with partnerships across major cruise lines, hotel brands, and tour operators. Booking through me as a Fora agent gets you those partner perks plus a dedicated human — me — managing your trip.
Your card is charged directly by the travel supplier — the cruise line, resort, or hotel — never by me personally. You’ll see the supplier’s name on your statement, and cancellation and deposit terms are spelled out before you pay anything.
Cruises (ocean and river), all-inclusive resorts, group travel — weddings, reunions, birthday and girls’ trips — and solo escapes. If your dream trip doesn’t fit one of those boxes, ask anyway; if it’s outside my wheelhouse I’ll say so and point you to someone great.
You contact me. Delayed flight, hurricane reroute, room mix-up — I monitor your trip and advocate with the suppliers while you carry on with your vacation. That’s the biggest difference between booking with a person and booking with a website.
For cruises and all-inclusives, 6–12 months out usually gets the best cabins, rooms, and pricing — and holiday weeks go even earlier. Short-notice trip? Reach out anyway; last-minute magic is sometimes possible.
